Prawn Noodle King
Just Mar’s was a name given my late daughter , Marisa. She was diagnosed with brain stem tumour at the age of four. My life focused on her but I needed to do something for myself that I could do from home. Online business was the answer. After she passed away a week after her eighteenth birthday, I contemplated as to whether I should continue with the business. It didn’t take me long to realise that I should continue what I started with her. With help and support I hope to take Just Mar’s where it’s meant to be.
Aroma De Nata
Aroma De Nata was co-founded by me (Alfian) and my business partner, Ken. I have always loved the world famous Pastel De Nata or the Portuguese Egg Tart ever since I tasted them during a trip to Lisbon a few years back. Since then, I could not find any local bakery that could make tarts as good as the original. Alas, in 2019 we stumbled on an opportunity where we are able to offer authentic Egg Tarts that are imported directly from Portugal. With that, we created Aroma De Nata, a specialty brand that offers authentic Portuguese Egg Tarts and other delicious Portuguese pastries. We plan to open at least 3 outlets in Klang Valley in 2020 and have plans for regional expansion thereafter.
Leng Zai Bak Kut Teh
I am one of the co-founder of a local restaurant of LENG ZAI BAK KUT TEH. We started our operations back in Sep2017. It was a stall in a local food court at Kepong. I was an ex-banker (RM) with no culinary background (my partner as well). One day, my partner / best friend came to me and asked to start a side business to earn extra income. Both of us still doing our day job and right after work, we rushed to the stall to run the stall. As we progress, we have another stall running in a food court during the day in Segambut. We had an opportunity when our new partner made an offer at his restaurant (Menjalara) to run the business from 3pm to 11pm (after their operations).
